Memphis Katz were formed in 1998 in London as a Trio, the members were Gina Madison, Ceejay Montana, and Johnny Ramone. Gina stepped down from the trio to form her own act Red Sunset in 2002. Ceejay and Johnny continued working as a Duo and were soon to become one of the UK's most sought after acts - appearing in over a hundred Clubs and Shows in the UK (mostly in London the South East). In 2003 they teamed up with 60's band Vanity Fare and were offered a lucrative contract touring the USA in a show named HITCIN' A RIDE. Regretfully the show was cancelled due to the American working visa programme changes after 9/11. Undaunted Ceejay and Johnny accepted another offer from Top Ten Management of Florida to tour the States in 2004. .Whilst on that tour Ceejay recorded two songs THE CHRISTMAS SONG and GYPSY LOVE written by Steve Kiss of Hungary.
They returned to the UK in 2005 and continued working the UK club and hotel circuits.  Ceejay left the act to get married in 2007 leaving Johnny to continue as an in demand solo cabaret and recording artist.
